Currently the Society’s awards, which reflect the degree of risk faced and the level of bravery shown by rescuers, consist of silver medals, bronze medals, silver in memoriam medallions, parchments, certificates, resuscitation certificates, in memoriam certificates and letters of commendation. The Society also awards medals, certificates and costume badges to encourage in schools the practise of swimming with the object of saving life.
